I think articles are reviewed by editors and then chosen.I would imagine that the more you write, the more likely they are to choose one of your articles. The one I wrote was done on a prompt for the word “Legacy” and it was a 100 word prompt, so I just let my heart flow, wrote the longer blog and submitted it to my own blog and some others that allow longer stories, then re-wrote a shorter version.
